Gyeongnam Nonghyup and 39th Infantry Division, Mutual Cooperation for Agricultural and Rural Development
Gyeongnam Nonghyup and the 39th Infantry Division signed a business cooperation agreement for the development of agriculture and rural areas in Gyeongsangnam-do on the 13th.
The signing ceremony, held at the headquarters of the 39th Infantry Division located in Gunbuk-myeon, Haman-gun, was attended by Division Commander Kim Jong-muk, Chief of Staff Hwang Ju-bong, other unit officers, Kim Ju-yang, head of Gyeongnam Nonghyup headquarters, Kim Seong-su, head of Nonghyup Haman-gun branch, and the chairpersons of Gaya, Gunbuk, Daesan, and Samchil Nonghyup representing Haman agriculture.
Gyeongnam Nonghyup and the 39th Infantry Division signed a business cooperation agreement on the 13th to promote the development of agriculture and rural areas in Gyeongsangnam-do.

The agreement includes ▲(Distribution sector) supply and use of agricultural and livestock products in Gyeongnam ▲(Public interest sector) support for farmers affected by disasters such as typhoons and floods ▲(Financial sector) convenience in financial services by designating Gyeongnam Nonghyup as the main financial institution, promising mutual cooperation for the support and development of agriculture and rural areas in Gyeongnam.
In celebration of the June Month of Patriots and Veterans, a ceremony for the donation of 10 million won to encourage soldiers was also held concurrently.
Division Commander Kim said, “I am pleased to sign this meaningful agreement with Gyeongnam Nonghyup, which is responsible for agriculture and rural areas in Gyeongnam,” and added, “Our 39th Division, which is responsible for protecting the Gyeongnam region, will use this agreement as a turning point to further activate win-win exchanges with Nonghyup and promote various cooperative projects for the development of agriculture and rural areas.”

Head Kim said, “I am very pleased that the Army’s 39th Infantry Division and Nonghyup have come together for the development of agriculture and rural areas,” and added, “I hope this signing ceremony will become a strong seed that encourages various sectors of society to take an interest in our agriculture and rural areas, which are gradually disappearing.”
