Blockchain and Fintech Entries Accepted Until July 17
28 Teams Finalized, Total Prize Money of 45.5 Million KRW Awarded
A blockchain and fintech competition with a total prize of 45.5 million KRW will be held. It is the 'Best Challenge' competition organized by the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA). On the 8th, KISA announced, "We are recruiting participants for the competition to discover innovative blockchain fintech technologies." Applications are accepted until the 17th of next month.
This competition will be conducted in three detailed tracks. ▲ ‘Alternative Data-based Fintech Ideathon,’ which proposes fintech service ideas using alternative data such as non-financial data ▲ ‘Blockchain Challenge for Solving Difficult Issues,’ which proposes solutions to problems arising in blockchain technology application services such as STO and NFT ▲ and the ‘Blockchain and Fintech-based ESG Service Competition,’ which suggests ESG application plans using blockchain and fintech technologies.
Anyone interested in the blockchain and fintech fields, whether individuals or small and medium-sized enterprises (teams of up to 5 members), can participate. Applications are accepted online. Prior education and mentoring by experts from collaborating companies will also be provided to participants during the application and competition period. The final 28 selected teams will receive awards (a total of 28 awards including the Minister of Science and ICT Award, KISA President Award, and collaborating company CEO Award) and prize money totaling approximately 45.5 million KRW.
