On the 26th (local time), when the market capitalization of the U.S. semiconductor design company 'NVIDIA' approached $1 trillion (approximately 1,328 trillion KRW), founder and CEO Jensen Huang was spotted at a night market in Taipei, the capital city of Taiwan. Huang, who founded NVIDIA and elevated it to the world's largest AI semiconductor company, is also of Taiwanese immigrant descent.
On that day, a photo of CEO Huang was posted on Twitter along with the caption, "When NVIDIA's market cap was nearing $1 trillion, Jensen Huang was walking through a night market in Taipei." In the photo, CEO Huang is seen holding a white plastic bag while looking at various food ingredients at the night market. He is wearing his trademark black leather jacket.

The netizen who first posted this photo explained, "For those who think this photo is fake, Huang's visit to Taipei has already been a hot topic in Taiwanese media," adding, "CEO Huang is also of Taiwanese descent, born in Taiwan."
On the same day, CEO Huang also attended the graduation ceremony at National Taiwan University. There, he repeatedly emphasized the importance of artificial intelligence (AI), warning, "Flexible companies will capture the value of AI and elevate their status, while those that do not will disappear."
Coincidentally, this day was also when NVIDIA was on the verge of joining the $1 trillion market cap club. The previous day, the stock price surged 24.37%, increasing the market capitalization by $184 billion (approximately 245 trillion KRW) in a single day. NVIDIA's soaring stock price is also known to be thanks to AI.

NVIDIA's first-quarter (February to April) revenue recorded $7.19 billion (approximately 9.5483 trillion KRW), an 'earnings surprise' exceeding market expectations by 10%, due to high demand for AI semiconductors despite the overall semiconductor market downturn.
CEO Huang is originally from Tainan City, located 300 km south of Taipei. He immigrated to the United States with his parents during his childhood and founded NVIDIA in 1993 after graduating from MIT.
Although NVIDIA is now famous for AI semiconductors, it initially started as a company developing graphics processing units (GPUs) exclusively for 3D games. NVIDIA grew by supplying GPUs to the famous Japanese game company 'Sega,' later becoming a leader in the gaming GPU market, and expanded its business into AI semiconductors, becoming a global giant.
