'Kim Nam-guk Coin Suspicion'... Netmarble "Never Provided Prior Information"
Independent lawmaker Kim Nam-guk has been suspected of receiving insider information after purchasing a large amount of the virtual asset "Mavecrex (MBX)" issued by Netmarble just before its exchange listing. Netmarble denied providing any prior information to anyone.
On the 25th, Netmarble stated in a press release, "We clearly reaffirm that we have never provided any non-public information to anyone in advance," adding, "Mavecrex has simultaneously communicated and applied for listing intentions to multiple centralized exchanges both domestically and internationally since March 2022, following the coin issuance, distribution, and listing on decentralized exchanges."
They continued, "Generally, even if a listing application is submitted, it often takes a long time to receive a response from exchanges, and even if the listing is confirmed, the related details and specific listing timing are notified by the exchange upon signing the listing contract, so the applicant company has no way to obtain such information in advance."
In other words, if the exchange does not inform the company of the specific possibility and timing of the listing, the company cannot know, so no company executives or employees have any information regarding the listing timing.
Netmarble emphasized, "We previously stated on the 12th that no non-public information was provided to anyone regarding Mavecrex," and added, "Furthermore, we thoroughly conducted an internal investigation again upon the request of the Truth Investigation Team on the 23rd and confirmed once more that no internal information was provided."
