Yeonggwang-gun Launches 'No Smoking Campaign' Around Market and Bus Terminal Areas
Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kang Jong-man) announced on the 25th that it conducted a 'World No Tobacco Day Commemoration Campaign' on the 24th at the Health Center Plaza and around the market and bus terminal area.
The theme of the 36th World No Tobacco Day was "Grow Healthy Food, Not Tobacco," aiming to convey the harms of tobacco cultivation and to encourage the local residents' determination to quit smoking.
Yeonggwang-gun conducted a "World No Tobacco Day Commemoration Campaign" on the 24th at the Health Center Plaza and the market and bus terminal area.

This campaign raised awareness among local residents about the dangers of smoking and the necessity of quitting smoking. It also provided counseling and distributed leaflets and promotional items related to obesity prevention, oral health projects, and mental health, striving to provide information on health promotion.
An official from the Health Center said, "Through the World No Tobacco Day campaign, we hope to inform local residents about the importance of quitting smoking and that the promotion of various health center projects will serve as an opportunity for residents to practice healthy living."
