Ulsan City Reappoints 23 'Public-Type Childcare Centers' to Strengthen Public Childcare
Ulsan City has re-designated all 23 public-type daycare centers whose validity period expires this year after conducting evaluations.
Public-type daycare centers receive operational expenses support such as teacher salaries, preschool class operation costs, educational environment improvement expenses, and cook salaries.
Public-type daycare centers are re-designated every three years through a review by the Childcare Policy Committee based on evaluation criteria to maintain and improve the quality of excellent childcare.
An official from Ulsan City stated, “We will continue to expand public-type daycare centers to strengthen the public nature of childcare and create a safe childcare environment that parents can trust and rely on.”
Public-type daycare centers are designated among daycare centers that do not receive salary support, provided with operational expenses, and operate under strengthened standards to offer high-quality childcare services to infants and young children.
Since 2011, Ulsan City has designated and operated public-type daycare centers to strengthen public childcare and improve the quality of childcare services.
