"Playground to Expand to Other Hospitals in the Future"
LG Uplus announced on the 24th that it will establish the ‘Idleulnara Playground’ at Korea University Guro Hospital. The two companies have signed a collaboration agreement to build a digital-based playground. The purpose is to help children who visit for outpatient treatment spend their time. It will be created in a 6-pyeong area within the Miraegwan building, where the pediatrics department is located. Completion is expected within the first half of the year.
LG Uplus plans to build the playground using dedicated smart pads and IPTV media devices. Through this, children can freely enjoy over 10,000 interactive contents from the kids-only OTT service Idleulnara, as well as about 50,000 contents including world classics, animals, daily habits, mental health, nature observation, and reading quizzes.
In addition, the space will be decorated using Idleulnara’s original characters. The Walt Disney Company Korea will also participate in the playground construction. A space featuring Disney characters will be created. In the area decorated with characters from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars, children can watch Disney content on screens or read Disney books exclusively for children while waiting for their medical appointments.
