Gyeonggi-do Selects 'Human Rights Award'... Human Rights Work Contest Also Held
Gyeonggi Province is accepting nominations for the '2nd Gyeonggi Province Residents Human Rights Award' candidates who have contributed to the advancement of human rights, as well as submissions for the 'Gyeonggi Province Human Rights Art Contest' to promote a culture of human rights respect, until July 31.
The Human Rights Award nominees are residents who have dedicated themselves to the advancement of human rights in six fields: general human rights, persons with disabilities, the elderly, women, children and youth, and migrants and foreigners.
Gyeonggi Province will select a total of six winners, one from each field, through expert evaluation. Awardees will receive a commendation and a plaque from the Governor of Gyeonggi Province.
The Human Rights Art Contest will be held in three categories: videos, characters (mascots), and poetry, divided into two divisions: children and youth, and general.
Gyeonggi Province will select a total of 12 winners, including grand prize and opportunity awards for each submission category and contest field, through a first round of practical screening, a second round of expert evaluation (70%), and an employee survey (30%).

Winners will receive prize money ranging from 300,000 to 2,000,000 KRW depending on the category.
