The First Recommended Webtoon Comic by Moon: Ssanggap Pocha
"Food Motifs, Stories of Common People's Lives in One Painting"
"Goodness Ultimately Overcomes Adversity, Changes Fate"
Former President Moon Jae-in, who transformed into a 'bookstore keeper,' introduced a webtoon for the first time. The subject is 'Ssanggap Pocha.'
On the 22nd, former President Moon shared on social media (SNS), "I recommend a webtoon comic."
He explained, "Since it has been a famous work for a long time, it feels somewhat belated and unnecessary to recommend it now. Ssanggap Pocha is a work that won the Excellence Award at the 2017 Korea Manhwa Awards, is being serialized popular on webtoon platforms, and has released 20 volumes in book form as of last year."
Former President Moon said, "While reading the webtoon, I encountered the book and enjoyed it very much. Each episode is inspired by a particular food, depicting the lives and sorrows of ordinary people, and the author's storytelling ability is remarkable in using Korean shamanistic folklore as a device for resolution."
He emphasized, "The overarching theme throughout the episodes is the power of goodness," adding, "Goodness ultimately becomes the strength to overcome adversity and can even change fate."

Former President Moon stated, "Since this is the first genre I am recommending, I am cautious, but depending on your taste or circumstances, either the webtoon or the book would be good. I send praise and support to the webtoon artists and platforms that are standing tall globally as an important genre of K-culture."
