Choi Tae-won and Noh So-young's Children Submit Consecutive 'Petitions' to Divorce Lawsuit Court
Choi Tae-won, chairman of SK Group, and his wife, Noh So-young, director of Art Center Nabi, have had their eldest son and youngest daughter submit petitions to the appellate court handling their divorce lawsuit.

View original imageAccording to the legal community on the 16th, their eldest son, Choi In-geun (28), submitted a petition to the Family Division 2 of the Seoul High Court (Presiding Judges Kim Si-cheol, Kang Sang-wook, Lee Dong-hyun) on that day. The youngest daughter, Choi Min-jung (32), had submitted a petition the day before. The contents of the petitions have not been disclosed.
Chairman Choi and Director Noh married in 1988 and have three children. In 2015, Chairman Choi acknowledged having a child out of wedlock. In July 2017, he filed for divorce mediation citing personality differences, but the case escalated into a lawsuit. Director Noh initially refused to agree to the divorce but filed a countersuit in 2019.

In the first trial last December, the court ruled that SK Inc.'s shares were not subject to division and recognized only 100 million won in consolation money and 66.5 billion won in cash. Separately from the divorce lawsuit, Director Noh filed a claim for damages exceeding 3 billion won in March against Kim Hee-young, chairman of the T&C Foundation and Chairman Choi's cohabitant.
