Lotte Mart Launches Apples with AI Sorting Technology Applied
Lotte Mart and Super announced on the 16th that they will launch the 'Yeongju Sobaeksan GAP Apple' using AI (Artificial Intelligence) sorting technology.

The AI sorting system introduced by Lotte Mart and Super can measure moisture content and ripeness by reflecting item-specific characteristics in addition to weight and sweetness. According to Lotte Mart and Super, apples sold through this system are displayed with their sweetness indicated in Brix, the unit representing sugar content.

A Lotte Mart representative explained, "To offer customers high-quality fruit, we are conducting various tests in collaboration with APCs from each production area. One of the results is the AI-sorted apples, which have completed quality verification through an AI system introduced for the first time in a large supermarket."
