KT and EasyCareTech Sign MOU to Collaborate on Hospital Digital Transformation
Joint Promotion of DX-Based Healthcare Business
Plans to Collaborate with Specialized Companies in Other Fields

KT announced on the 12th that it will jointly promote a healthcare business based on digital transformation (DX) with EasyCareTech. The two companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at the KT Songpa Building in Seoul.

View original imageThrough the MOU, they will pursue ▲ discovering and developing healthcare DX service models ▲ jointly developing new DX healthcare convergence services ▲ implementing smart hospitals through joint branding ▲ expanding the business globally through mutual support in healthcare DX consulting and service development.
KT will provide IT infrastructure and solutions for hospital DX. In particular, it plans to enhance hospital work efficiency by linking with the Hospital Information System (HIS) operated by EasyCareTech. The two companies plan to develop a cloud-based Disaster Recovery (DR) center product that ensures continuity and stability of hospital operations even in disaster or emergency situations, and expand it as a new business.

KT also plans to continuously introduce services for medical DX, such as hospital logistics robots and telemedicine services, by collaborating with specialized companies in other fields to discover customized solution products reflecting hospital customer needs. In cooperation with EasyCareTech and KT Cloud, they will also undertake the next-generation HIS business that integrates IDC and cloud technologies. Shin Su-jeong, Vice President and Head of KT Enterprise Division, said, “We will continuously expand and promote the DX of smart hospitals by combining the HIS of EasyCareTech, a leading medical IT company, with KT’s ICT technology.”
