Korea-Saudi Jointly Host 'Innovation Roadshow' to Leap Forward as Transportation and Logistics Hub
The governments of South Korea and Saudi Arabia held the "2nd Korea-Saudi Mobility and Innovation Roadshow" today to discuss strategic consultation plans aimed at becoming a hub for transportation and logistics.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced on the 9th that it jointly hosted the "2nd Korea-Saudi Mobility and Innovation Roadshow" with the Saudi Ministry of Transport and Logistics in Seoul.
Minister Won Hee-ryong of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said in his welcoming address, "We expect that Saudi Arabia's commitment to economic reform and Korea's world-class technology will join hands toward new cooperation."
The Ministry explained that the scope of cooperation will be specified in future mobility sectors requiring intergovernmental policy collaboration, such as autonomous vehicles and electric and hydrogen vehicles, and that technological cooperation can be strengthened through joint research.
Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, Minister of Transport and Logistics of Saudi Arabia, who arrived in Korea on the 8th to attend this event, is scheduled to stay in Korea until the 10th.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport stated that through Minister Al-Jasser's visit, it expects to promote the competitiveness of Korean companies, share Saudi Arabia's future order information and investment plans, and secure contracts for Korean companies.
