Gyeongnam Office of Education Provides Robust College Admission Information Support for 12th Grade Students and Teachers
Visiting College Admission Information Sessions and Collaborative Teacher Training on College Admission Held
The Gyeongnam Office of Education will present the latest high school admission information packages to 12th-grade students and their teachers.
The office announced on the 3rd that from this month’s 3rd until July 14th, it will hold the “Visiting Admission Briefing Sessions with Sharing, Communication, and Empathy.”
The admission briefing sessions will be conducted at 40 general high schools, starting with Gimhae Imho High School, Samrangjin High School, and Tongyeong High School, continuing until July 14th.
From the 4th, starting with Namji High School, a “Visiting Admission Collaboration Teacher Training” for 12th-grade teachers at 40 general high schools will be held until June 29th.
According to the Office of Education, the briefing sessions and teacher training will be conducted for selected general high schools based on prior applications.
The briefing sessions will provide the latest admission information to 12th-grade students and their parents, covering topics such as ▲Characteristics and application strategies for each early admission type in the 2024 academic year ▲Customized application strategies for each admission type in 2024 based on data analysis ▲Features of university-specific evaluations of the 12th-grade school records and guidance on concluding school life.
The sessions will be conducted in various formats, including lectures, talk concerts, and Q&A, to assist in personalized admission planning for students.
The teacher training will cover topics such as ▲Counseling methods for 12th-grade homeroom teachers ▲Efficient record-keeping methods due to the expanded non-reflection of certain school record areas ▲Characteristics and application strategies for special admissions and various recruitment units.
Each event will feature lecturers including scholarship officers and counseling teachers from the Gyeongnam University Admission Information Center, a university admission expert committee, and admission counseling teachers affiliated with the Korea Council for University Education.
The lecturers will share the latest admission information mainly through lectures and Q&A sessions, while the talk concerts will involve teachers and students from the respective schools as discussants.
Separately, from the 22nd to the 26th, “Customized Admission Counseling for 10th and 11th Grade Students and Parents” will be held at the Gyeongnam University Admission Information Center and the Western University Admission Information Center.

Kim Kyung-gyu, Director of Career Education, said, “We will visit individual schools to provide the latest admission information to students and teachers and assist with admission planning and collaboration.” He added, “We will continue to prepare various admission programs to directly support schools on site.”
