‘BNK Gyeongnam Bank Cup Senior Gateball Tournament’ Held in Changwon
40 Teams Composed of Seniors Aged 65 and Over from 18 Cities and Counties in Gyeongnam Participate
BNK Gyeongnam Bank announced on the 3rd that it held the ‘2023 BNK Gyeongnam Bank Senior Gateball Tournament.’
The BNK Gyeongnam Bank Senior Gateball Tournament, held at the pedestrian stadium inside Changwon City Sports Complex, was attended by a total of about 500 participants, including players and cheering squads from 18 cities and counties in Gyeongsangnam-do.
Teams participating in the BNK Gyeongnam Bank Senior Gateball Tournament are competing in the preliminary round-robin matches.
View original imageThis tournament featured 40 teams composed of members of the Korea Senior Citizens Association aged 65 and older from the province, with 20 teams each for men and women competing.
The men’s and women’s teams simultaneously held preliminary league matches on 8 courts, with 16 teams advancing to the finals.
The teams that advanced to the finals competed in a tournament format, with the top three teams for both men and women receiving awards for first, second, and third place.
Im Jae-moon, Executive Director of the Business Planning Headquarters, said, “We hope this tournament has helped the elderly who have played an important role in the local community to enjoy their leisure time and improve their health. We will continue to strive to enhance the welfare of local seniors.”
