The cherry blossom festival 'Pink Campus,' held annually since 2014, has become one of the region's representative festivals through word of mouth.
This year, Pukyong National University also organized Pink Campus under the supervision of the Student Council (President Donggyu Lee, 4th year, Department of Convergence Materials Engineering), running club performances and booths by each department to carry out the festival.
From 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on the day, about 60 departments opened booths along both sides of Baekgyeong Square, which is 200 meters long and covers an area of 11,460 square meters, to hold the event. Departments operating various university projects also promoted student support programs at separate booths.
Busan National University clubs related to singing and dancing performed on the outdoor stage, providing entertainment. Programs such as musical performances, street karaoke, and outdoor movie screenings, which local residents could also participate in, were held.
With the recent lifting of the mask-wearing mandate and the transformation of Baekgyeong Square?previously used as a road until last year?into a pedestrian-only space, Pukyong National University held the festival there for the first time this year, increasing the number of spectators and strengthening safety guidance.
