MFDS Reclassifies Four Temporary Narcotics Including 'Bromazolam'
The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety announced on the 17th that it will give advance notice of the re-designation of four substances, including Bromazolam, whose temporary narcotics designation period expires next month, as temporary narcotics.
The four substances, including Bromazolam, which are subject to re-designation notice this time, are all Schedule 2 temporary narcotics that act on the central nervous system and are regulated substances in countries such as Switzerland and Germany. The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety will re-designate them as Schedule 2 temporary narcotics for the next three years.
The temporary narcotics designation system is a system that designates substances that are not currently classified as narcotics but are abused or misused as substitutes for narcotics and pose a risk to public health as "temporary narcotics" for a period of up to three years.
