Seongnam City Supports Up to 5 Million KRW for SMEs to Obtain Overseas Standard Certifications
Seongnam City in Gyeonggi Province is providing financial support for the acquisition costs of 'overseas certification standards,' which are essential for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) when exporting products.
Seongnam City has secured a budget of 60 million KRW to support 12 companies. The maximum support amount per company is 5 million KRW.
The overseas certification standards supported include a total of 481 certifications such as ▲European Community Mark (CE) ▲U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) ▲U.S. Biodegradable Products Institute (BPI) ▲U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) ▲European Cosmetics Notification Portal (CPNP) ▲China Compulsory Certification (CCC) ▲Halal Food and Nutrition Association (HALAL), among others.
These overseas certifications are also used as a means to prove the excellence of quality to buyers.
The support target is SMEs with export performance of less than 10 million USD last year and that have their headquarters or factories located in Seongnam City.
Eligible companies can submit their application forms by the 30th of this month.
