"Why Are You Contacting Another Woman?" 20s International Student Arrested for Stabbing Boyfriend with a Weapon
A Mongolian exchange student in her 20s was booked without detention on charges of stabbing her boyfriend with a weapon.
According to the Gyeongbuk Gimcheon Police Station on the 16th, Ms. A is accused of wielding a weapon at her boyfriend, Mr. B, also in his 20s and from Mongolia, at a one-room apartment in Samnak-dong, Gimcheon, Gyeongbuk, around 9 p.m. on the 15th, causing a minor injury with an approximately 8 cm laceration from the shoulder to the arm.
The couple reportedly began arguing after Ms. A later found out that Mr. B had initiated conversations with another woman on social media.
Ms. A stated, "During the fight, I was hit by Mr. B, and I have also experienced dating violence from him before."

A police official said, "Only the initial investigation at the local police substation has been completed so far. We plan to decide on detention after verifying both parties' statements."
