Gyeonggawon Invites Companies to Participate in Metaverse Industry Convergence Support and Demonstration Projects

View original imageGyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Economic Science Promotion Agency are recruiting companies to participate in the 'Metaverse Industry Convergence Support and Demonstration' project by the 27th of this month to introduce metaverse technology into various industrial fields such as manufacturing and construction.
On the 16th, Gyeonggi Province announced that companies passing the screening through this announcement will be registered as supply companies to help form consortia with demand companies, and a total of 730 million KRW will be invested to support up to 100 million KRW per project for eight final consortium projects.
This year, the province is especially increasing the support fund for supply companies from a maximum of 90 million KRW last year to 100 million KRW, and will support participation in joint pavilions at promising metaverse industry exhibitions and the production of promotional videos when participating in the demonstration support project.
Additionally, IR pitching consulting and demo day programs will be newly operated to support companies' investment attraction capabilities.
Choi Hye-min, Director of the Digital Innovation Division of the province, stated, "Recently, various industries are responding to the digital transformation (DX) by utilizing digital technology for industrial convergence to strengthen corporate competitiveness," and emphasized, "Going forward, Gyeonggi Province will continue to strengthen various policy supports to realize digital transformation and establish the metaverse industry as a core strategic industry."
