Plan to Meet Female Developers, Working Moms, and More Directly
Han Jong-hee, Vice Chairman and CEO of Samsung Electronics, will discuss ways to develop female leadership with female developers, working mothers, and other employees in celebration of 'International Women's Day' (March 8).
Samsung Electronics announced on the 7th that Vice Chairman Han will hold a 'One Table' event on the 10th, where he will meet female employees directly.
The various ideas raised during the meeting will be conveyed to the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Office and reflected in organizational operations.
In addition, leaders of each organization will meet female employees directly to have in-depth discussions on various topics such as the company's efforts for gender equality and institutional improvements for diversity and inclusion.
Vice Chairman Han and CEO Kyung Kye-hyun plan to deliver messages to employees emphasizing the importance of gender equality and DEI in commemoration of Women's Day.
Vice Chairman Han emphasized the value of diversity and inclusion, saying, "We will strive to create an organizational culture where all employees from diverse backgrounds feel a sense of belonging and can fully demonstrate their abilities based on equal opportunities."
Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics conducts DEI commemorative events and campaigns annually for employees worldwide on occasions such as 'International Women's Day,' 'International Day of Persons with Disabilities,' and 'World Day for Cultural Diversity.'
