‘Smile Candy’ I Bo-mi is wrapping up her life in Japan.

On the 27th, I Bo-mi announced, "I moved to Japan in 2011 and have been active for 13 years," adding, "I plan to retire from the Japanese stage after this year's Japan Ladies Professional Golf Association (JLPGA) Tour." She continued, "Looking back, it was sometimes tough, but it was a joyful and happy time," and expressed her sincere gratitude to "the many sponsors who helped me focus solely on my games, the fans who have always been with me, the staff who are like family, and the JLPGA fellow players who shared precious friendships even amidst competition."
I Bo-mi said, "I agonized a lot before deciding to retire from the JLPGA Tour. Wanting to spend happy times with my fans, I decided to announce my retirement at the start of my final season," promising, "I will show you my best efforts again this year." She plans to participate in 4 to 5 JLPGA Tour tournaments and 1 to 2 Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour tournaments this year. I Bo-mi is currently staying in Japan to compete in the 2023 season opener, the Daikin Orchid Ladies Golf Tournament, which begins on March 2.

I Bo-mi is a star player with a total of 25 professional wins, including 4 wins on the KLPGA Tour and 21 wins on the JLPGA Tour.
