Mokpo Coast Guard Urgently Transfers Emergency Patient in Their 90s from Island Village
An elderly emergency patient occurred in an island village in Sinan-gun, Jeollanam-do, and the Coast Guard quickly transported the patient to the mainland.
According to Mokpo Coast Guard on the 24th, at 4:39 PM on the 23rd, a report was received that Ms. A (female, in her 90s) suddenly collapsed and was unable to move on Uido Island, Sinan-gun, and a patrol boat was dispatched immediately.

The Coast Guard boarded the patient and guardian onto the patrol boat and swiftly moved to Bokho Port in Anjwa.
With the help of the Coast Guard, Ms. A was transported to the mainland and transferred to a large hospital in Mokpo, where she is currently receiving treatment.
A Mokpo Coast Guard official said, “We will maintain a constant readiness to dispatch so that island residents are not isolated in medical blind spots and do our best to protect the precious lives of residents.”
