On the 20th (KST), Langer shot a 7-under 65 in the final round of the PGA Tour Champions Chubb Classic (total prize money $1.8 million) held at Tiburon Golf Club (par 72) in Naples, Florida, finishing with a total of 17-under 199 to claim the top spot.
With this victory, he earned his 45th win on the PGA Tour Champions, tying the all-time record held by Hale Irwin (USA). Additionally, by winning the Timberlake Championship last November, he extended his own record as the oldest winner on the PGA Tour Champions to 65 years, 4 months, and 23 days.
The PGA Tour Champions is a senior tour for players aged 50 and above. Langer, who will turn exactly 66 in September, continues to demonstrate consistent skill in this tournament. He has secured 12 wins since turning 60. It is highly likely that he will soon become the sole leader in all-time PGA Tour wins.
