Hapcheon-gun, Recruiting New Students for the New Hapcheon Future Agriculture College
Fostering Highly Competitive Professional Farmers
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam Province, has been publicly recruiting 60 new students for the 17th Sae Hapcheon Future Agriculture College from February 15 to March 9 to promote local agricultural development and nurture leading farmers.
The 17th Sae Hapcheon Future Agriculture College will operate two courses: a strawberry hydroponic cultivation class and a comprehensive crop class, selecting about 30 students per course based on its own selection criteria, and will run from March to November.
Sae Hapcheon Future Agriculture College aims to train the nation's top agricultural experts by inviting university professors, researchers from the Rural Development Administration, and advanced farmers as instructors. It provides systematic and specialized customized education including theoretical education, field learning, practical training, and group discussions to produce professional agricultural managers and lead the cultivation of local talent.
In particular, recently, new farmers and successor farmers have been participating in strawberry cultivation, and there is a trend of switching from early cultivation to hydroponic cultivation. To increase yield and improve quality, advanced techniques such as nutrient solution and environmental management must be applied. Therefore, education by experts is even more necessary, and this year, the strawberry hydroponic cultivation class is being opened for the first time.
Sae Hapcheon Future Agriculture College is open to anyone who has an address in Hapcheon-gun and is engaged in farming or wishes to farm within the jurisdiction.
Applicants can refer to the news section on the county office website and the Agricultural Technology Center website and submit application forms to the nearest eup/myeon office or the Agricultural Technology Center's agricultural guidance department.
