BMW Launches Diesel and PHEV Models of the 7 Series

[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Gyumin] BMW Korea will begin pre-orders for the 7 Series diesel model 740d xDrive and the plug-in hybrid (PHEV) model 750e xDrive through the BMW Shop Online starting at 3 PM on the 21st.
The 740d xDrive comes standard with the latest 48-volt mild hybrid technology that provides additional power. According to the company, this system not only supports engine performance but also helps achieve quieter and smoother operation. The system's maximum output is 299 horsepower, with a peak torque of 68.3 kg·m, and it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.8 seconds.
The 750e xDrive combines a BMW TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder gasoline engine with a 197-horsepower electric motor, delivering a combined system output of 489 horsepower. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds. Equipped with a high-voltage battery with a total capacity of 22.1 kWh, it can travel up to 87 km on a single charge based on WLTP standards. Both models offer options with Design Pure Excellence and M Sport exteriors.

The estimated prices for the 740d xDrive Design Pure Excellence and M Sport are between 158 million KRW and 168 million KRW, while the 750e xDrive ranges from 192 million KRW to 202 million KRW. Both models are scheduled for official release in Korea in March and June, respectively.
