View original imageOn the 11th (local time), Ames shot an even-par round in the final 3rd round of the PGA Champions Tour Trophy Hassan II (total prize money $2 million) held at Royal Golf Dar Es Salam in Rabat, Morocco (par 73, 7,638 yards), securing a dominant 5-stroke victory (9-under 210).
This was a 'wire-to-wire' win, maintaining the lead at the top of the leaderboard for all three days. Ames achieved his third Champions Tour victory in total, his first in 1 year and 8 months since the Principal Charity Classic in June 2021. The winner's prize money was $320,000 (approximately 400 million KRW). Ames has also won 4 times on the PGA regular tour.

Mark Hensby finished 2nd (4-under 215), while Richard Green (both from Australia) and two others tied for 3rd place (3-under 216). From Korea, Yang Yong-eun finished tied for 33rd (7-over 226), and Choi Kyung-ju (53) ended tied for 39th (8-over 227).
