Japan Provides Transport Support with Self-Defense Force Aircraft for Turkey Earthquake Damage
[Asia Economy Reporter Bu Aeri] The Japanese government has decided to transport equipment used by its medical team and emergency support unit assisting Turkey, which suffered from a major earthquake, using Self-Defense Forces aircraft.
According to Japanese media including Kyodo News on the 11th, Yasukazu Hamada, Japan's Defense Minister, instructed the Self-Defense Forces to prepare for transportation support on site in Turkey.
Kyodo News reported that the Self-Defense Forces aircraft are expected to depart from Japan to the site in a few days.
The Japanese government plans to dispatch a medical team consisting of dozens of doctors, nurses, and pharmacists to help the earthquake victims in Turkey.

Additionally, in response to the Turkish government's request, emergency relief supplies such as tents and blankets will be provided through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
