Yongin City to Create 22,687 Jobs This Year
[Asia Economy (Yongin) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province will create 22,687 jobs this year.
On the 9th, Yongin City announced that it will promote 223 job projects centered on four major strategies and ten key tasks this year: ▲ strengthening job infrastructure ▲ customized job support ▲ sustainable job creation ▲ discovering region-specific jobs.
First, in response to increased employment uncertainty due to the economic downturn, the city will provide 5,406 customized public jobs for vulnerable employment groups, such as senior jobs and Hope Dream jobs.
Additionally, the city will expand employment support programs for job seekers based on customized job training programs, such as semiconductor talent development, as well as employment counseling and placement services.
Along with this, the city will support job creation in the private sector based on investments such as the establishment of the Yongin Semiconductor Cluster, the development of general and advanced industrial complexes, corporate attraction, urban planning road construction and improvement, and operation of sewage treatment facilities as part of living SOC investments.
