Dong-Eui University Hosts Industry-Academia Cooperation Festival ... Seeking Vision for Collaborative Ecosystem
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Dooyul] Dong-Eui University held the ‘2022 Dong-Eui University Industry-Academic Cooperation Festival’ at 4 p.m. on the 2nd at the Crystal Ballroom of Busan Lotte Hotel.
The event was attended by Dong-Eui University President Han Suhwan, LINC 3.0 Project Director Lee Imgeon, National Assembly member Seo Byungsoo, Busan City Youth Industry-Academic Division Director Lee Yoonjae, Busan Technopark Director Kim Hyungkyun, Busan Institute of Science and Technology Director Seo Yongcheol, Panstar Chairman Kim Hyunkyum, Rino Industry Chairman Lee Chaeyoon, as well as about 200 local company representatives, officials, students, and faculty members.
The Industry-Academic Cooperation Festival is an occasion to share Dong-Eui University’s excellent industry-academic cooperation achievements for the 2022 academic year with local companies through the Ministry of Education’s LINC 3.0 project, aiming to find a vision for an innovative ecosystem of industry-academic-research cooperation.
At the event, Dong-Eui University presented and exhibited outstanding achievements from 2022, including joint industry-academic technology development projects, technical support projects, Capstone Design Competition award-winning works, and startup club activities, while also conducting technology matching and networking exchanges with companies through its technology holding subsidiary.
In the awards for outstanding industry-academic cooperation companies, Trust Ad was selected for excellence in field training participation, Stars for outstanding family company, Grunge Factory and K& for R&D excellence, and Sein Patent Law Office for contributions to industry-academic cooperation.
Notably, M-Place, the first startup club to become a technology holding subsidiary of Dong-Eui University, was selected as an excellent startup club and received the President’s Award.

Grunge Factory transferred patents derived from the project on developing functional water-repellent aluminum surfaces for building materials led by Professor Jung Chanyoung of the Department of Metal Materials Engineering, while K& transferred patents derived from the project on developing powder coating technology with improved insulation breakdown resistance led by Professor Oh Wontae of the Department of Polymer Materials Engineering.
