[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Pyeonghwa] On the 31st, Samsung Electronics announced its performance for the past year, including the fourth quarter, and during the conference call, it stated regarding its foundry (semiconductor contract manufacturing) business that "the 3nm second generation is scheduled for mass production in 2024 as planned," adding that "many customers have shown interest."
It also said, "The first generation process is being mass-produced with stable yield," and added, "Compared to the first generation, the second generation process has improved area, performance, and power efficiency, and it is being developed rapidly based on the first generation."
