Samsung Electronics Launches 5th Union 'DX Union'... Centered on Mobile and Home Appliance Personnel
The fifth labor union has been formed, centered around personnel from Samsung Electronics' Device Experience (DX) division.
On the 30th, it was reported that a new union named 'Samsung Electronics DX Labor Union' (hereinafter DX Union) was recently launched at Samsung Electronics.
The DX Union is mainly composed of personnel from the DX division, including Mobile (MX), Consumer Electronics (CE), and Visual Display (VD).
Samsung Electronics currently has four unions, including the largest nationwide Samsung Electronics Labor Union, Samsung Electronics Office Workers' Union, Samsung Electronics Gumi Labor Union, and Samsung Electronics Labor Union 'Donghaeng'.

Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong declared the end of 'no union management' after five years in 2020. Samsung Electronics signed its first collective agreement with unions in August 2021 and its first wage agreement in August last year. Currently, a joint bargaining group consisting of the existing four unions is negotiating wages for 2023 with management.
