According to the police on the 26th, the Anti-Corruption and Public Crime Investigation Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency began executing a search and seizure warrant around 9 a.m. at Mindeulle’s office in Mapo-gu, Seoul, deploying investigators on charges including official secrets leakage and violation of the Personal Information Protection Act.

Last year on November 14, Mindeulle disclosed the names of 155 out of 158 victims who died in the Itaewon Disaster without the consent of their families. In response, Lee Jong-bae, a member of the Seoul Metropolitan Council from the People Power Party, along with civic groups, filed complaints against Mindeulle with the prosecution and police. The police detected signs that the victim list was leaked from the Seoul city side and conducted a search and seizure at Seoul City Hall on the 3rd of this month.
