Minister Han: "Prosecutors Conducting Fair Investigation into Local Corruption Crimes"
[Asia Economy Reporter Heo Kyung-jun] Regarding the Democratic Party's criticism that the prosecution is repeatedly summoning Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, Minister of Justice Han Dong-hoon said, "Isn't it unfair to blame the prosecution for the large number of criminal charges?"
On the morning of the 20th at the Government Complex Gwacheon, Minister Han said, "I believe the prosecution is conducting a fair investigation according to the usual procedures for investigating local corruption crimes," adding, "The fact that the cases were divided into several parts was decided by the previous administration, and I understand there were various criticisms about the background at that time."

He continued, "I wonder who gave them the privilege of never being criticized even if they lie and incite."
Regarding the arrest situation of those who helped Kim Sung-tae, former vice chairman of Ssangbangwool, who is involved in allegations of paying lawyer fees for Lee Jae-myung’s violation of the Public Official Election Act, Minister Han said, "The cooperation with the authorities of Cambodia and Thailand is solid and progressing well," emphasizing, "Those who aided a serious criminal to escape must be caught."
