BPA Begins Joint New Year Safety Inspection of New Port with Related Agencies
Officials from Busan Port Authority and various organizations are conducting safety inspections at key sites of the New Port.
View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Busan Port Authority (BPA) conducted safety inspections at major port facilities and construction sites in Busan New Port on the 5th to welcome the New Year.
On that day, the BPA Operations Headquarters Director and the New Port Branch Manager visited the New Port Small Vessel Wharf, the hinterland complex, and the temporary storage yard with the staff of the Busan New Port Facility Management Center to check the status of safety facility installations and management conditions.
They also visited the site of the improvement construction of the east vehicle entrance and exit road of New Port Piers 1 and 2 to review the overall safety measures and construction progress.
Through this inspection, BPA plans to take preemptive measures to prevent human casualties and facility damage for facilities and sites with potential safety accident risks.

Hong Seong-jun, BPA Operations Headquarters Director, said, “During the winter season, when the risk of safety accidents is high, we will do our best to manage safety at Busan Port by continuously communicating and inspecting on-site to ensure there are no blind spots.”
