Hyundai Motor's CSR Documentary in China Draws Attention Locally
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dae-yeol] Hyundai Motor Group announced on the 21st that a documentary video about its local social contribution activities, created to commemorate its 20th anniversary of entering the Chinese market, has recorded over 38 million views in just over a month.
The video, titled "Following Light and Shadow," consists of three episodes. From the 26th to the 30th of last month, the three episodes were uploaded at two-day intervals on eight channels, including China's Discovery Channel, the company's social media (SNS), and local video platforms iQIYI and Bilibili.
The video depicts how the lives of local residents have changed through the company's local projects: "Green Move," which combats desertification and restores grasslands; "Dream Move," which supports education and self-reliance for marginalized groups; and "Next Move," which assists young people in realizing their dreams by supporting startups in new technologies.
As of the day before, the total views across all channels exceeded 38 million, and SNS responses surpassed 100,000. The company expects this video to play a role in enhancing Hyundai Motor Group's brand image locally.
