[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Gyeonggi Province is undertaking the modernization of traditional market facilities and the establishment of safety facilities.
Gyeonggi Province announced on the 18th that "a total of 29 sites across 5 sectors, including 10 sites for traditional market facility modernization and 8 sites for safety facility establishment, have been selected, with an investment of 2.6 billion KRW."
For 'Traditional Market Facility Modernization,' the selected sites include ▲Yongin Yongin Jungang Market (restroom renovation) ▲Hanam Deokpung Traditional Market (installation of rain shelters and canopies) ▲Suwon Minari Gwang Market (arcade renovation) ▲Seongnam Hyundai Market (external public restroom renovation) ▲Seongnam Cheonggu Cultural Market (roof waterproofing work), with a total investment of 2.3 billion KRW.
For 'Traditional Market Safety Facility Establishment,' 8 sites were selected including ▲Hwaseong Banwol Shinyoung Shopping Center ▲Icheon Sagimakgol Ceramic Market ▲Suwon Yeongdong Market ▲Suwon Minari Gwang Market ▲Suwon Gucheon-dong Tool Market ▲Seongnam Dongshin General Market, with a total of 200 million KRW allocated to support fire alarm panel replacement, closed-circuit television (CCTV) installation, transformer replacement, and maintenance of aging electrical wiring.
At 14 locations including ▲Seongnam Kumho Happiness Market ▲Bucheon Yeokgok Sangsang Market ▲Bucheon Sinheung Market ▲Bucheon Sangdong Market ▲Pyeongtaek Tongbok Market ▲Pyeongtaek Songtan Market ▲Pyeongtaek Seojeong-ri Market, a total of 150 million KRW will be spent to support the labor costs of 25 fire safety personnel.
