'The E&M Consortium' Selected as Preferred Negotiation Partner for Incheon Cheongna Video Culture Complex
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] The consortium led by The E&M has been selected as the preferred negotiator for the Cheongna Video and Cultural Complex Project, a key strategic facility in Cheongna International City, Incheon.
According to the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority on the 14th, the project proposal evaluation committee, composed of experts in various fields, reviewed the applicants by categories including applicant qualifications, comprehensive development plans, expertise, and management and operation plans. Among the three consortia that submitted proposals, The E&M consortium received the highest score.
The E&M consortium includes The E&M, which has been engaged in video media content production for over 20 years, as well as Ace Factory, J Partners, IHQ, Mace Entertainment, and the Korea Scenario Writers Association.
The Cheongna Video and Cultural Complex Project aims to attract core strategic industries to the Incheon Free Economic Zone and establish a world-class video industry cluster by combining video production and tourism cultural facilities, amid the rapid growth and global recognition of Korean video content.
The project plans to develop video and cultural content production infrastructure, including indoor and outdoor studios, as well as leisure, cultural, and tourism facilities for citizens on an 188,000㎡ site in Cheongna-dong, Seo-gu.

The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority believes that Cheongna International City is advantageous for developing a complex that integrates the video industry and tourism culture industry, as it is close to existing video industry hubs such as Sangam-dong and Mok-dong in Seoul, and Ilsan in Gyeonggi Province, and is adjacent to Incheon Airport, the open port area, Chinatown, and other distinctive tourism infrastructures in Incheon.
