The Police Human Resources Development Institute announced on the 11th that, as a result of preparations to establish a drone specialized training institution since last July, it has achieved this milestone for the first time among police training institutions this month. With this designation as a specialized training institution, the Police Human Resources Development Institute can now operate an educational program consisting of three stages: ▲ Practical drone utilization course ▲ Drone certification course ▲ Drone expert certification course.

The Police Human Resources Development Institute is expected to contribute to enhancing the drone operation expertise of members of the police organization in the future. It also foresees practical use of drones in search and rescue operations to find and rescue missing children in the field, as well as in emergency rescue searches during disaster situations. Song Byeong-il, head of the Police Human Resources Development Institute, stated, "We will do our best to improve the drone operation expertise of field police officers in response to the advanced security environment."
