LIV Golf Norman: "Woods and McIlroy Have No Impact on Me"
[Asia Economy Reporter Seohee Lee] Greg Norman (Australia), who leads LIV Golf, responded with "I will ignore" to the resignation demands from Tiger Woods (USA) and Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland).
On the 4th (local time), Norman said in an interview with the UK golf media 'Today Golfer', "I have no interest in what Woods and McIlroy say," adding, "They are saying what they want in their own way, and it does not affect me at all."
He continued, "I will not step down. I don't care what anyone says," and added, "I am proud of the work and position I currently hold. Woods and McIlroy are afraid of the leadership I am demonstrating."
Norman's response was an answer to Woods and McIlroy's claim that for the conflicting PGA Tour and LIV Golf to coexist, Norman must first step down from his position as CEO of LIV Golf.

Previously, Woods and McIlroy demanded Norman's resignation for the harmony of the two organizations. Last month, McIlroy pointed out, "There need to be some changes in LIV Golf for coexistence with the PGA Tour to be possible. Norman has to go. Right now, there is no adult trying to fix the fence." Backed by the Saudi Arabian sovereign wealth fund, LIV Golf has continuously clashed with the PGA Tour since its launch.
