[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] KOTRA announced on the 24th that it will hold a meeting to strengthen the cooperation system for attracting foreign investment among local governments, Free Economic Zones (FEZ), and related organizations.
KOTRA stated that it will hold the 'Local Government and FEZ Investment Attraction Support Officers Meeting' the next day at its headquarters in Yeomgok-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul.
About 30 investment attraction officers from 9 local governments (Daegu, Asan, Gangwon Province, Chungbuk Province, Chungnam Province, Jeonnam Province, Gyeongbuk Province, Gyeongnam Province, Seoul Investment Agency) and 6 Free Economic Zone authorities (Busan-Jinhae, Daegu-Gyeongbuk, East Coast, Gwangyang Bay, Ulsan, Chungbuk) will participate in the meeting.
At the KOTRA Comprehensive Administrative Support Center, KOTRA experts along with central government ministries, local governments, and related organization staff provide comprehensive consulting and administrative support services related to foreign investment in a 'one-stop' manner. These services have been provided since the establishment of the Foreign Investment Support Center based on the Foreign Investment Promotion Act of 1998.
Through years of comprehensive consulting, the center has accumulated experience and know-how regarding key considerations and necessary support when foreign investors and foreign-invested companies make investment decisions. The meeting aims to share this expertise with local government investment attraction officials to contribute to increasing actual foreign investment attraction.
