Hankook Tire Selected as 'Excellent Quality Competitiveness Company' for 13 Consecutive Years
National Quality Management Competition: Excellence Awards for Daejeon Plant and Geumsan Plant
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Hankook Tire & Technology (Hankook Tire) announced on the 24th that its Daejeon Plant and Geumsan Plant were selected as "Quality Competitiveness Excellence Companies" at the 48th National Quality Management Competition hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy's National Institute of Technology and Standards and organized by the Korea Standards Association.
Hankook Tire has been leading customer satisfaction based on continuous research and development (R&D) investment and quality innovation. Recently, it has been expanding its electric vehicle tire portfolio by supplying original equipment tires (OET) for electric vehicles from Porsche, Audi, BMW, Volkswagen, and others in the rapidly growing electric vehicle market.
On the same day, at the National Quality Small Group Competition awards ceremony, quality small groups and employees from Hankook Tire's Daejeon Plant and Geumsan Plant won a total of three bronze awards in two categories: the field improvement category and the individual proposal case category.

Meanwhile, in 2020, both the Daejeon Plant and Geumsan Plant were selected as excellent companies for 11 consecutive years, achieving the distinction of being inducted into the "Hall of Fame" for the first time in the domestic tire industry. This honor is granted only to companies selected as quality competitiveness excellence companies more than 10 times, and entry into the Hall of Fame is possible only when all strict criteria are met.
