Daejeon City Cracks Down on False and Exaggerated Real Estate Listings
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Daejeon City is cracking down on false and exaggerated real estate listings in the region.
The city announced on the 21st that it will conduct a joint intensive crackdown on false online real estate listings with the Daejeon branch of the Korea Association of Realtors until early next month.
The crackdown is being carried out in response to the increase in false and exaggerated advertisements posted on real estate brokerage platforms (Dabang, Zigbang, etc.) and SNS (YouTube, Instagram), as the use of online real estate brokerage has increased more than in-person transactions due to the spread of COVID-19.
The main targets of the crackdown include ▲ violations of mandatory disclosure due to omission of accurate listing information ▲ false or exaggerated advertisements where the advertised information differs from reality ▲ violations of advertising entity rules such as advertisements by non-licensed realtors ▲ failure to delete listings after transactions are completed.
