The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education announced that it held the '6th Superintendent Meet Day!' event on the first floor of the Superintendent's Communication and Empathy Room in the annex building of the City Office of Education.
The event was attended by Superintendent Ha Yun-su, nine parents from schools in Buk-gu including Deokcheon Elementary School, Sincheon Elementary School, Pocheon Elementary School, Baekyang Middle School, and Yangdeok Girls' Middle School, as well as the head of the Elementary Education Department of the City Office of Education and the head of the Facilities Department of the Northern Education Support Office.
They discussed ▲classroom soundproofing construction ▲placement of librarian teachers ▲budget requests to increase participation in Taekwondo club competitions.
A parent from Pocheon Elementary School said, "The interior walls of the classrooms on the 5th floor of the main building are made of dry partitions, causing significant difficulties for the children’s classes due to noise," and requested improvements.
Ha Yun-su, Superintendent of Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, said, "This matter is included in the mid-term educational environment improvement project and was reflected in the 2023 main budget," adding, "We will conduct a full survey of all schools within the Northern Education Support Office, not just Pocheon Elementary School, and prepare measures to replace them immediately."
