Chinese President Xi Jinping Arrives in Bali, Indonesia for G20 Summit Attendance
[Asia Economy Beijing=Special Correspondent Kim Hyunjung] Chinese President Xi Jinping has arrived in Bali, Indonesia, to attend the Group of Twenty (G20) summit, according to local media including the Chinese state-run Xinhua News Agency on the 14th.
President Xi is scheduled to hold a summit meeting with U.S. President Joe Biden that evening. The White House announced that the two leaders will meet at a hotel in Bali at 5:30 PM (6:30 PM Korean time) for their first face-to-face talks.
The meeting is expected to last more than two hours, and no joint statement is anticipated following the talks. President Biden is scheduled to brief the U.S. media on the outcome of the meeting at 9:30 PM (10:30 PM Korean time) the same day.

President Xi will attend the G20 summit in Bali from the 14th to the 17th, and then visit Thailand from the 17th to the 19th to participate in the APEC summit. During the G20 summit, President Xi will hold bilateral talks not only with President Biden but also with French President Emmanuel Macron, Senegalese President Macky Sall, and Argentine President Alberto Fern?ndez, among others.
