Geochang-gun Recruiting Participants for Agricultural Product Processing Industry Revitalization Support Project
Support for Production of Excellent Agricultural Processed Products with International Competitiveness
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam Province, is recruiting candidates for the 2023 Agricultural Products Processing Industry Activation Support Project until the 24th.
The Agricultural Products Processing Industry Activation Support Project targets local agro-food processing companies and agricultural organizations that use more than 50% local agricultural products. The project cost per location is up to 400 million KRW, with 50% of the cost being supported.
The support areas include general agro-food promotion, traditional liquor promotion, and traditional fermented food promotion. The support covers new construction, expansion and renovation of processing factories, modernization of facilities, and installation of auxiliary facilities.
However, the purchase of existing factories, simple logistics equipment purchases, vehicle (box truck), forklift purchase costs, and various operational expenses are excluded from support.

Applications can be submitted to the Rural Convergence Division of the Geochang-gun Agricultural Technology Center or the Economic Industry Division of the Eup/Myeon office by the 24th.
Since 2019, the county has invested 758 million KRW in six processing companies through this project to support the production of excellent agricultural processed products with external competitiveness.
