Yoo Seung-min: "Lee Jae-myung's Appeasing Diplomacy Towards the Public Deserves Criticism"
Lee Jae-myung Meets Sing Haiming in China, Emphasizes '4 Major Principles'... Liu Calls '4 Major Principles' a Scrap of Paper
"Spoke of 'Pro-Japanese Defense,' but Becomes Infinitely Small Before North Korea and China"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] Former lawmaker Yoo Seung-min, considered one of the ruling party's next presidential candidates, strongly criticized Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, for emphasizing the importance of the 'Four Principles on the Korean Peninsula' during his meeting with Xing Haiming, the Chinese Ambassador to Korea, calling it a "submissive diplomacy toward China" on the 7th.
On the same day, Yoo stated on his social network service (SNS), "Why does Lee, who condemned the joint US-South Korea-Japan exercises in the East Sea as 'extreme pro-Japanese defense,' become so small and fail to say what must be said to North Korea and China in front of the Chinese ambassador?"
On that day, Lee met with Xing Haiming, the Chinese Ambassador to Korea, and said, "the Four Principles on the Korean Peninsula agreed upon by President Moon Jae-in and President Xi Jinping (no war on the Korean Peninsula, denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, peaceful resolution of North Korean issues, and improvement of inter-Korean relations) remain important principles that must be upheld today," adding, "The redeployment of tactical nuclear weapons or nuclear armament on the Korean Peninsula does not contribute to peace in Northeast Asia."
In response, former lawmaker Yoo raised his voice, saying, "The Four Principles of Moon Jae-in and Xi Jinping would be good if they were upheld, but due to North Korea's nuclear provocations, they have become a worthless scrap of paper," and "China should have been asked what it is doing about North Korea, which is launching long-range, medium- and short-range missiles in a barrage every day and is effectively signaling a seventh nuclear test."

He pointed out, "Lee has not said a word about the 'Three No's (US MD, additional THAAD deployment, and the US-South Korea-Japan military alliance)' that former President Moon promised," adding, "Since denuclearization is not being upheld due to North Korea's nuclear provocations, Lee should have criticized China's irresponsible neglect of North Korea's nuclear weapons."
