[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hee-jun] The Joint Chiefs of Staff announced on the 4th that the '22 Taeguk Exercise' will be conducted from the 7th to the 10th.
A Joint Chiefs of Staff official stated, "We will hone practical mission execution capabilities to prepare for various threats such as North Korea's nuclear and missile activities and recent provocations."
The Taeguk Exercise is an annual defensive command post exercise (CPX) led by the Joint Chiefs of Staff, focusing on strengthening crisis management capabilities and improving wartime transition execution abilities. It is conducted through 'wargames' such as computer simulations without mobilizing troops or equipment.
