Silla University Hosts Pet Business Accelerating Week Event

View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Duyul] Silla University held the ‘2022 Pet Business Field Accelerating Week’ event for pet industry-related companies in the Busan area at the Busan Paradise Hotel from the 21st of last month to the 2nd.
This event was organized to provide local companies with consulting opportunities with professional investors as a catalyst for attracting private investment in the technology development results jointly researched and developed by companies and the university.
The participating companies were nine in total: Nobies, Thecos Korea, Stickers Corporation, Angel in Pets, CNK International, Y Pet, Supio, BBC, and Genie Edutech.
The Silla University Pet Industry Specialized Innovation Research Complex Development (I-URP) project group conducted systematic corporate support through a three-stage program consisting of mentoring on management difficulties, acquisition of specialized skills necessary for business growth and investment attraction, and management consulting.
Stages 1 and 2 included special lectures and individual consultations aimed at strengthening the capabilities of companies in the pet business industry, covering topics such as startup patent management strategies, understanding and practical work of investment attraction, introduction to the TIPS program, investment attraction know-how shared by investors, and enhancement of investment attraction capabilities.
In stage 3, a mock IR (Investor Relations) presentation for company explanation and promotion activities was held, followed by feedback from professional judges, one-on-one consulting, and customized guidelines for companies through networking.
In addition to the participating companies, 12 companies from Seoul, Busan, Gyeongnam, and Chungnam also wished to observe and participated in the event.
The Silla University I-URP project group plans to gradually expand support for step-by-step accelerating programs starting with this event.

Baek Il-kwon, head of the Silla University I-URP project group, said, “The project group will do its best to support pet industry-related companies in the Busan area in every possible way, including industry-academia cooperation R&D and R&BD support, technology development and commercialization support, resolution of technical difficulties, acquisition of intellectual property rights, and marketing support.”
