Baegamsan 'Aegidanfung' at Naejangsan National Park Peaks This Weekend
Baekyangsa Ssanggyeru Area... Autumn Atmosphere Filled with Outstanding Scenery
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] The Baegamsa Office of Naejangsan National Park under the Korea National Park Service announced on the 31st that the autumn foliage of Baegamsan in Naejangsan National Park is currently 60% colored and is expected to reach its peak this weekend.
The autumn leaves of Baegamsan are smaller and more delicately colored than those in other regions, resembling a baby's hand, and are called 'Aegidanpung' (Baby Maple).
Aegidanpung tunnel road stretches along the 1.5 km section from the Iljumun gate of the thousand-year-old Baekyangsa Temple to the temple grounds, harmonizing with 700-year-old Mongolian oaks and the natural monument No. 153 Korean nut pines, displaying a splendid multicolored beauty.
In particular, the scenery combining Ssanggyeru Pavilion and the pond against the backdrop of Baekhakbong Peak is one of the most famous autumn foliage spots in the region.
